The Chicago Bears are building for the future. But what future building blocks are already on the team?

The Chicago Bears continue to build their roster for the future. Ryan Pace has ripped this team up and overturned over 80% of the roster in just two offseasons. The goal is to get younger and build a deep, athletic team that can contend for Super Bowls for years to come.

Unfortunately, with that type of commitment to youth, there are going to be growing pains- a lot of growing pains. In year two of the rebuild, that couldn’t be any more obvious. Fans were hopeful that the Bears could approach 8-8, but it’s clear that the roster simply isn’t ready for that type of leap forward.

With a 1-4 record, any hope for the playoffs are quickly fading and 2017 is starting to become a focal point. With that said, here is an examination of the roster and who should be a part of this team moving forward.

Players are graded on a 5-tier system- Yes, Probable, Questionable, Doubtful, No. If any player on the current roster is not listed, they are assumed to be a “No” and not worthy of comment.
