The Chicago Bears will play their final home game against the Washington Redskins. Chicago once again finds themselves in the role of spoiler against a Washington team that is clinging to playoff life by a thread. These three keys will guarantee that the Bears put an end to Kirk Cousins’ playoff run.

The Chicago Bears will host the Redskins on Christmas eve in what will be their final home game of the 2016 season. The Bears once again find themselves as huge underdogs, but these three keys will guarantee a Chicago victory as a Christmas gift.

Before we dive into this week’s keys, let’s take a look at how the Bears did with last week’s keys:

1) Matt Barkley’s time to shine- This one is tough. I said that Barkley needed over 250 yards and two touchdowns. While he did meet that criteria with 362 yards and two touchdowns, he was also responsible for 4 turnovers with 2 of them being his fault. He also struggled with accuracy on a number of throws across the middle. A few throws to Deonte Thompson could have gone for serious yards after the catch, but the ball wasn’t delivered in stride. Credit Barkley for another solid performance, but he doesn’t get the key here.

2) Pressure Aaron Rodgers- The Bears logged three sacks and pressured Rodgers on the majority of his throws. While Rodgers may have been slowed by his calf, the Bears held up their side of the bargain. Chicago earns this key.

3) Score a defensive or special teams touchdown- The defense had a rough day overall with missed tackles specifically. Adrian Amos attempted to strip the ball on a few tackles, but only yielded extra yardage. John Fox did little to provide a spark of his team with fakes on special teams either. There were a few occasions were a fake could have caught Green Bay off guard. Regardless, the Bears lose out on this key
