Here’s how Ryan Pace could have drafted if he didn’t trade up and select Mitchell Trubisky.

If you haven’t been under a rock the last few days, you know that Chicago Bears GM Ryan Pace has been highly criticized for his trade moving from the third pick to the second pick to draft Mitch Trubisky. Not only do fans (and analysts) feel there was a good chance they could have gotten him with the third pick, but several experts don’t feel Trubisky’s experience and talent are worthy of being selected that high.

But what if Ryan Pace changed his draft strategy and didn’t make any trades over the weekend and chose to pass on Trubisky? What if the Bears stood pat and just drafted in the slots they already had? Their team would have looked a lot differently, that’s for sure. If the Bears stood pat at three and went away from Trubisky, let’s look at their 2017 draft.
