In theory, the previous draft picks changed because of the positioning of where the Bears picked and their needs after taking Adams instead of Trubisky. With this pick, the Bears could still absolutely take Tarik Cohen.

But since we are living in an alternate reality right now, we’ll have the Bears select King. King is a football player. He loves the game. He doesn’t have the athletic gifts that you would need to ever develop into a shutdown corner, but he just knows how to cover and gets the most out of his ability.

King’s future might be on the inside or at safety, but the Bears need help and depth everywhere in the secondary. King is the type of guy that may not ever develop into a starter, but could provide depth at multiple positions. He’s a great value here and provides the Bears with far more help than Tarik Cohen provides as a change-of-pace back for Jordan Howard.
