Notable Cuts- Daniel Brown, Ben Braunecker

Last year, Bears fans were not happy with how the team ignored the tight end position. They let Martellus Bennett walk and didn’t bring in any notable tight ends via free agency or the draft to pair with Zach Miller. The Bears had hopes for Ben Braunecker, the UDFA out of Harvard, but he never made much of an impact on Sundays.

Miller will definitely earn a roster spot again, as will Dion Sims, the free agent tight end the Bears signed from the Miami Dolphins. Adam Shaheen will round out the group and the only question is whether or not the Bears carry 4 tight ends. If they go with three, this group is open and shut. Braunecker would still have a decent shot to be brought back on the practice squad.
