Notable Cuts- Taylor Boggs, Tom Compton

I took the more conservative route as to who will make the Bears offensive line this year. Lock in Leno, Long, Sitton and Whitehair. Jordan Morgan is almost certainly a lock as a rookie as well. The rest of this is pretty open for debate. Bobby Massie recovered to have a decent season after a rotten start. If the Bears know they have a legit replacement for Massie they might move on, but Massie’s spot is also probably secure.

If the Bears carry 9 offensive linemen, that means there are three spots remaining. Hroniss Grasu is a notable question mark coming off a major injury. The Bears would trade Grasu if they could, but his trade value is close to zero. Taking the conservative approach, Grasu makes the roster in a sub-role behind Whitehair.

The Bears really liked what they saw out of Eric Kush and signed him to a two-year deal, so he will have the inside track at a roster spot. The last spot could come down to Sowell and Compton and I like Sowell to grab the roster spot. Sowell showed some ability in Seattle and he should be able to handle swing tackle duties for the Bears.
