3. Chicago Bears
Mike Glennon, Mitchell Trubisky, Mark Sanchez
The Bears are in an awkward quarterback situation, but it may not be the worst one. The first reason is obvious. They think they have their guy. Whatever anyone thinks about Trubisky, this organization is now all-in on him. They have him for four, and most likely five years and have time to figure out if they have their franchise-changing the quarterback.
Then, there is Mike Glennon. Glennon is now not competing for his job in Chicago, but a chance to find a job elsewhere next season. Glennon can be thought of with a big arm, but he is actually somewhat conservative and continue to earn starts deep into the season. Next season they can still opt into Glennon, knowing they have a cheap starter in Trubisky, or they can dangle Glennon for any type of compensation and move on with Trubisky. It is not the worst spot to be in.
Mark Sanchez will have to outduel Connor Shaw, but he should be able to take the job. He is good in the video room and served as a solid backup and mentor to Dak Prescott last season with the Cowboys.
