6. DeAndre Houston-Carson, S, Will and Mary

The Bears added their third safety of the draft in Houston-Carson. Houston-Carson hardly saw the field as a rookie, playing eight defensive snaps all season. He was limited on special teams as well and will be competing for a roster spot this summer.

7. Daniel Braverman, WR, Western Michigan

Braverman was a fan favorite after the draft. However, he only participated in three games and played just 17 offensive snaps. Braverman did not catch a pass. He is strictly a slot option, and the team’s additions of Markus Wheaton, Victor Cruz, and Kendall Wright do not draw a good sign for Braverman making the roster in 2017. He may be able to slide onto the practice squad for one more season and that would be the best case for the Bears.

Overall: A

After nine years of some of the worst drafting in the NFL, the Bears actually look like they got this one right. Floyd, Howard, and Whitehair are the headliners and it looks like they not only got three starters here, but they added three above average starters at their position. Kwiatkowski brings great depth and Bullard should be in a similar role on the defensive line this season. Between Bush, Hall, and Houston-Carson if they can hit on one of the three this is going to be one of the better groups in the entire league to come from the 2016 draft. It is weird to see the Bears get it right for once, but in the second year of the Ryan Pace era, that very well may be the case.
