Offensive Line, 8, Bobby Massie, Charles Leno, Kyle Long, Josh Sitton, Cody Whitehair, Hroniss Grasu, Eric Kush, Bradley Sowell
The five starters that are absolute locks to make the team are Massie, Leno, Sitton, Long, and Whitehair. How they handle the four players behind them will be worth watching. The only real lock behind them is Grasu. Grasu started as a rookie and only lost his job due to a torn ACL. He should be cemented as the backup center and a player who can move to guard in a pinch. Kush also has experience at guard and center and played some guard last season when Kyle Long went down. He should be the next most secure spot.
With some solid and experienced helpers in the interior, the Bears now have to hit the tackle position. Tom Compton, Joseph Dieugot and William Poehls will all compete with Sowell. Poehls and Dieugot can make the practice squad, so they would really have to shine to earn a spot. Sowell and Compton will be a competition. Both are 27, but Sowell has more starter experience, and started nine games last season when Compton started in zero. The edge goes slightly to the experience and Sowell.
