Safety, 6, Quintin Demps, Adrian Amos, Deon Bush, Harold Jones-Quartey, Eddie Jackson, Deiondre’ Hall

Demps was brought in to start next to Amos, so those two are locks. The team drafted Eddie Jackson, despite knowing he had a broken leg, so they are ready to give Jackson patience. This assures him a roster spot as well. Harold Jones-Quartey was a terrible fit next to Adrian Amos, mainly because the two play a similar style. Now in a role where he can backup Amos and play special teams, he should be able to stick around.

While Jones-Quartey is in the “in the box” backup, Bush should be looked at as the centerfield backup. With Jackson likely unready to contribute right away, Bush should easily have that role. This leaves Deiondre’ Hall. Hall has had an interesting journey, that has featured injury, arrest and position change. However, the team is clearly high on him as they continue to give him chances, meaning he will at least get one more season. Hall can be an asset as a safety and cornerback, but he will likely have to solidify his spot by being willing to play special teams in training camp. If not, expect Deandre Houston-Carson to sneak in and grab the last roster spot.

Special Teams, 3, Andy Phillips, Pat O’Donnell, Patrick Scales
