TE Zach Miller was having a career year with 47 receptions in 11 games before suffering a broken foot in the loss to the Giants. This was even with the change between QBs Cutler and Hoyer. Recently he was quoted as “close” to full health. Combine his return with the addition of rookie TE Adam Shaheen who at 6-foot-6, 277 pounds absolutely dominated in Division II Ashland and we can see what looks like a nice pass catching duo at the position. Undoubtedly, there will be a transition for the rookie as far as almost every aspect of his game, however, if he can make the field he will have a chance to showcase why he set the Division II record in receptions at his position. Also, a nickname like “Baby Gronk” can’t hurt his chances either.
