2. Daniel Braverman

Braverman snuck onto the roster last season but did not record a catch. His size likely limits him to the slot, and to the detriment of his chances of making the team the Bears signed a group of slot wide receivers. Victor Cruz and Kendall Wright will almost exclusively play the slot. Markus Wheaton spent a decent amount of his time in Pittsburgh in the slot. Cameron Meredith profiles to be a player who can slide into the slot occasionally. On top of that, Adam Shaheen, Daniel Brown and Zach Miller are tight ends who can slide out to become big slot receivers.

This does not bode well for Braverman. However, this is a player with a nice skill set and ability to consistently make catches and find yards after the catch. As much as everyone wants Cruz, Wright, and Wheaton to be free agent hits, all of them have had major injury questions over the past year or so. If Braverman can show a step up in strength and toughness, he can make a case to stick on the roster with one of the last spots.
