Dieugot Joseph

Joseph would be the biggest surprise to make the team, but given where the tackle position is the opportunity is there. The Bears depth chart behind Charles Leno and Bobby Massie is not strong. Bradley Sowell and Tom Compton have signed this offseason as depth pieces. William Poehls is another young name to watch but this is not the toughest of competitors. Joseph is a player who has the length and the size to make an impact almost immediately. However, he has some technical issues to work on. Still, now that the Bears have their hands on him, he can attempt to make these adjustments and prove himself in loaded preseason reps.

If the Bears like what they see in the preseason they may want to stash him on the roster and make him an inactive rather than practice squad. He would only have to prove more valuable than two of Compton, Poehls or Sowell to make it as a fourth tackle, and that is not an impossible task. Watch to see a surprise tackle attempt to make noise with a strong preseason.
