Number Six Week Five, Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts

The second longest run of the season for Jordan Howard. Howard took this run for 57 yards. He takes advantage of the cornerback, Patrick Robinson (25). Robinson is in a position he is not used to being in running down hill to defend the run. Howard sees Robinson crashing to the outside, sees a hole in front of him and immediately turns it up field. Once again Howard shows off his explosion to continue to pick up yards. This was one of two runs over 50 yards.

The combination of all his skills can be shown on this one. Howard uses a stop and go, shows hip swivel and burst through a hole to finish a run and pick up as many yards as possible. He pushes outside and draws the linebacker out, then cutback. Notice how right before he bursts through the hole, he sees a bigger hole to the right. However, he sees the two defenders crashing in, and changes his footing to explode through the other hole to the left. On top of a full arsenal of skills, Howard shows great acumen in this one.
