For the season seven premiere of Game of Thrones, the Bears have taken to twitter to show their GoT spirit.

Just like the Starks in the show, the Chicago Bears are ready to regain power in the North. Game of Thrones seems to be a television show that has swept the nation. There are re-watch podcasts, Game of Thrones wines and board games, and now the Chicago Bears are getting involved with the creation of their own house flag.

The Bears official twitter account posted a tweet stating that, like the Starks on the show Game of Thrones did in season 6, that they will rise again to run the North. The tweet came with an awesome house flag, that should get some talk to be the team’s alternate logo. It also came with the slogan #houseHalas, of course showing their respect to the founder of the team. After the Bears unveiled the flag and slogan, multiple Bears players (clearly avid Game of Thrones watchers) took to twitter to change their avi to the cool new picture, and show their support for the show, the team and the ability to run the North again.

Next: 56 days until Bears season kicks off

For those not as in-tune with the HBO hit series, Game of Thrones is a fantasy series, set in the olden days of a fictional land. The slaying of a king opens up a variety of houses and leaders who have a claim to rule the world moving forward. Every group and region have to pledge their allegiance to a certain leader, and an all out battle for supremacy begins. The Bears and their fans have pledged allegiance to House Halas, and are hanging their flag high as they seek to control the NFL the way that Cersei Lannister currently controls Westeros.

Game of Thrones will air on HBO, July 16th at 9 pm EST.
