17. Adam Shaheen
If this is not an indication that this draft class is going to go a long way in determining the success of General Manager Ryan Pace, I am not sure what is. Shaheen is another young player that the Bears need to see big things out of. On paper, Shaheen is a freak who has the ability to dominate the football field. However, this is all just an idea right now, as it has hardly been seen on the field.
Shaheen has only played football for two years. When he did, he was using his basketball body and football strength to box out defenders and make impact plays in the end zone and over the middle. Shaheen has little experience blocking, and that more than anything will be the what makes Shaheen so valuable.
If the Bears can use the behemoth as a chess piece who can line up outside, in the slot and inline, he brings even more valuable than a playmaker like Cohen. Like Cohen, his presence on the field can change a defenses mentality, so turning him into a known entity this season is paramount.
