14. Cody Whitehair

Whitehair exploded and had a brilliant rookie season. A fortunate event for him occurred when Hroniss Grasu went down with an ACL injury. Whitehair stepped in and filled in admirably. He started all six games for the Bears. Without even grading him on a rookie curve he was excellent.

It could be argued he was one of the ten best centers in the NFL last season. Now, Whitehair enters year two, and a year that should equal a big step forward. He fell because of the question as to which position he would translate to in the NFL. Now that they know he is going to be the center moving forward, they have a player who is a complete steal at his draft selection when it is relative to talent.

Whitehair is a great athlete in a great spot between Josh Sitton and Kyle Long. Establishing that continuity with the talent in the middle could be game changing for the offense, making Whitehair a key piece to the team.
