Rankings the Bears roster: 15-11

12. Cameron Meredith
In most ways that this season plays out, Meredith leads the team in receiving. Of course, last year at this point he was not expected to lead the team in receiving but did so. Last year he led the team in catches, targets, yards and tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns. Meredith was the only consistent threat, and he emerged from the rubble of a poor wide receiver group to be the one to invest in this season.
Kevin White coming back from injury would be huge, and as impactful as Markus Wheaton, or the rookie playmakers are, getting a big year out of Meredith is the most important. In 2017, he should be able to do the most and should be expected to do the most of the group. Expect a year with over 100 targets, close to 1,000 yards and the hope of an increase in touchdowns, as Meredith should still be ascending as a player.
