9. Pernell McPhee
When healthy, McPhee can be one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. However, the huge question mark comes in saying how healthy can he be, and can he even stay on the field. Over the past two seasons, he has missed nine games. In eight of the games he actually was healthy, he was shaking off something, or playing through injury, and played less than half of the team’s snaps.
McPhee has mentioned that he has lost weight this offseason and that it could be what he needs to consistently stay on the field. There is no doubt that if the Bears get a big season out of McPhee it will be one of the biggest impacts on the team. However, at this point, it is becoming too unrealistic to buy into this until it can be seen. The Bears need bigger years out of a few more players.
