2. Leonard Floyd

Floyd is already on a good trajectory to succeed based on his rookie year. He is a major investment for the team and is coming off of a season in which he put up seven sacks in just 12 games active. Of pass rushers drafted in the first round since 2012, Floyd would rank fourth in terms of rookie year sacks.

If Floyd can continue his trajectory, and add even more playing time thanks to better health and stamina, the sky’s the limit for what Floyd can do. Khalil Mack went from four sacks to 15 in one season. Floyd is another top ten pick who would hope to follow in that same sort of path as he breaks out even farther than he did last year.

Pass rush is one of the most important aspects of all of football. If the Bears can tie that down with Floyd it would be huge. He is young, with a lot of upside, and has the ability to stick around this team for years to come. More than almost any player, Bears fans should invest in Leonard Floyd.
