Five Bears players to watch in Preseason Week Two
Tarik Cohen
The human joystick was a joy to watch in his first preseason game. Cohen carried the ball seven times for 39 yards and added a 17-yard punt return. You can see him start to turn his jets on and show his elusiveness, and there is that big play feeling every time he touches the ball.
To the surprise of some, the Bears even tried to give him the ball between the tackles. It did not go terribly and can show the upside that he has as an all-around, strong player. Cohen should continue to get snaps in a role similar to what he will be in for the Bears in the regular season.
He should see screens, and zone reads out of the shot gun. Reverses and other misdirection handoffs to get him the ball in space should also be in his arsenal. It feels like he is close to breaking one, and if the Bears can get him the ball in the right spot he can turn a run into a huge gain and potentially a touchdown. Cohen is the player to watch and every time he touches the ball it should be must see TV.
