Five Bears to watch in preseason week three
Jordan Howard
This is the first game that the starters will all play together so at least one must watch player has to be a locked in starter. Howard is not fighting for a job like the first couple of names. However, it will be important to see him on the field.
Howard has not played in the preseason yet. Last week there was a small bit of concerning news when it was reported he had eye surgery. Howard has come away optimistic, and even mentioned that it could help with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
However, we are at the point where it will just be nice to see Howard out there. Does he look as sharp as last year? Maybe he looks more decisive. Is there any reason to be concerned in a sophomore slump.
It also should be a great chance to test out the theory of Howard and his catching abilities. Why not throw him a few early on to see how he reacts? If Howard can be a better pass catcher he is close to being the every down back that is rare in today’s NFL. It would be a great sign to see him show off that new skill in week three.
