Tanner Gentry

Gentry has started to show the upside that he possesses. He is forming a bond with rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and the two connected on a long touchdown in week three. Adding in that and a few other splash plays to a Cameron Meredith injury and Gentry has likely played himself onto the roster.

Still, this will be a great chance to get him big snaps and see what kind of peaks he can reach this season. Trubisky is unlikely to play too long, but the Bears should absolutely get Gentry on the field for another series with the number two overall pick.
Still, even when Connor Shaw comes in, it should still equal playing time for Gentry. These snaps are going to be more valuable to him than any other receiver, and they will be valuable to the Bears who should want to see what his route tree looks like in action.

Expect a lot of plays for Gentry and a chance to solidify a roster spot as well.
