The Bears front seven should be a team strength

On paper, this was going to be true, but now that it has shown it really looks like something special. Akiem Hicks and Eddie Goldman are premier players. Any of Jaye Howard, Roy Robertson-Harris, Jonathan Bullard or Mitch Unrein that they throw with them will be a winning combination. On top of that, look how many names they can sub in for significant snaps. The defensive line even more than the linebackers is the team’s great strength.
On top of that, we learned that Leonard Floyd is progressing exactly like we want him to. He should be in for a major increase in performance, even after a solid rookie season. The rest of his pass rushing crew is strong as well. Pernell McPhee has been a letdown but Willie Young, Lamarr Houston and Sam Acho have shown promise in the preseason.

Danny Trevathan is back quicker than expected and Nick Kwiatkowski looks to have progressed as well. Add in Jerrell Freeman and Christian Jones in the middle and this is a deep unit with value all the way down the depth chart.
