The Bears vs Falcons Week 1 matchup kicks off the 2017 season.  To help us gain insight about the Week 1 opponent, we enlisted the help of Randy Gurzi from Blogging Dirty for our weekly Five Questions.

The Bears vs Falcons Week 1 matchup starts a road to redemption for both teams.  For the Chicago Bears, it’s really the road to respectability after a franchise-worst 3-13 2016 season.

Jay Cutler is gone and Mike Glennon is keeping the seat warm for number two overall draft pick Mitchell Trubisky.  The Bears defense expects to build behind a strong front seven while the revamped secondary looks to gel.

For the Atlanta Falcons, it’s a road back to the Super Bowl where they hope to finish what they started last season before Tom Brady and the New England Patriots staged a miraculous comeback to win Super Bowl LI and dash the Falcons’ hopes of a championship.

On the offensive side of the ball, you know what to expect from the Falcons.  Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Devante Freeman all return as the cornerstones.  The defense hopes to continue their ascent behind some emerging stars like pass rusher Vic Beasley.
