Bears vs Falcons Week 1 Matchup: Five Questions with Blogging Dirty

5. It’s prediction time, in two parts. First, predict the Falcons record for the season and where they finish in the NFC South and second, of course, predict Sunday’s outcome and final score.

I have Atlanta going either 10-6 or 9-7. They’re a good team but the NFC is pretty tough. Plus they have to face Seattle, Dallas and Green Bay as well as the Pats and Dolphins. That’s five teams with at least 10 wins last season. There’s also the Bucs twice on their schedule and the Lions. They were each 9-7 and Detroit was a playoff team. Not a lot of easy wins. They still can win the division but it comes down to how they do in the South.

This Sunday has all the makings of an upset. The Falcons are being penciled in as winners, but I think starting Glennon tips the scales. He was the wrong choice and the reason Chicago loses a game that’s closer than most expect.

Atlanta 27, Chicago 20
