Chicago Bears Schedule: Can They Win a September Game?

Chicago at Tampa Bay
September 17th
It was thought that Chicago had a good chance of winning this game before the preseason. With the known issues on offense, however, it looks like this game will be much tougher for Chicago to take. Once again, the biggest question remains, who will Glennon throw the ball to? The Bears cannot win this, or any other game, without some kind of passing threat.
The Bucs have a potent passing game with quarterback Jameis Winston throwing and Mike Evans, one of the best receivers in the game, catching. The tight end position has capable rookie O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate as additional pass catchers. The Buccaneer’s defense is starting to look good too.
Chicago’s defense may be able to rise to the challenge and handcuff Winston and his “crew.” However, the Bears’ offense will give them Chicago itself trouble unless they can run the ball well. The problem with that is Tampa will key in on that to try to stop it. If Tampa can shut Chicago’s running game down, it will be a long day for the Bears.
This will be a close game that could go either way. However, if the Bears need their offense win the game, then they will struggle. The offense may not be ready to take on the tall task of having to come from behind if it’s necessary. Eventually, they will be able to do that but perhaps not quite yet.
