2. Give Bears fans your view on Mike Glennon? Can he provide a serviceable bridge until Mitch Trubisky takes the reigns? Has any quarterback in the league gotten a worse hand dealt to them, getting his replacement drafted before he’s even settled in?

I liked Mike Glennon, personally. I felt he never got a fair shake in Tampa, whether it was the way everything went down between former coach Greg Schiano and Josh Freeman or Lovie Smith coming in and giving the job to Josh McCown despite Glennon outplaying him in camp and on the field. That said, I’m certainly not upset they drafted Jameis Winston rather than keeping Glennon. Winston is a franchise changer while Glennon is a serviceable quarterback, but isn’t going to lead a team to a Super Bowl.

Honestly, I felt the way the Bears handled the draft situation was awful. Glennon left the Bucs after being offered a deal to be the highest paid backup in football because he wanted to start. Then, after signing with Chicago, he’s invited to the draft party where he sees them trade up to take a quarterback? I felt for him. I don’t know what to make of Trubisky, but I was glad to see Glennon play well against Atlanta. In all honesty, he won that game twice. I think the Bears are okay at quarterback with Glennon for the next few seasons, but losing his top two weapons in the pass game certainly hurt.
