You cannot deny that Soldier Field is one of the greatest sports venues in American and is a big reason why it would be great to be a Bears fan. That place is a national treasure and a part of American history.

If you ever get a chance to go to a Bears’ game at Soldier Field, you will have an experience that you will never forget.

The history of the stadium is perhaps its best feature. It was opened in 1924 as Municipal Grant Park Stadium. In 1925, it was renamed to Soldier Field in honor of soldiers who were killed during World War I.

The Bears started playing their games there in 1971 but, in a twist of irony, the Chicago Cardinals had used the stadium before the Bears had. They used it in 1959. So, the Bears were not the first football tenant at Soldier Field.

The stadium honors past Chicago Bear greats with photos and paintings all over its walls. There is a large mural dedicated to George Halas and this is one of the most attractive features in the stadium. Also, you can’t come away without a photo of the Doughboy statue and American flag just inside the southern part of the stadium.

There isn’t a bad seat in the place and you can see everything from any part of the stadium. While other NFL teams have stadiums that are high tech and state of the art, Soldier Field is comfortable and feels like home. It’s historic, friendly and loved by everyone who sees a game there.
