The Mitchell Trubisky-led Chicago Bears come away with an overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens in only the Bears second win of the season.

Thanks to a ground and pound attack the Bears could seal the win after a crazy 4th quarter where the Ravens tied the game in the final minutes. It’s good to get a win now let’s check the stock of the team and players.

Stock up

  1. RB Jordan Howard

Howard deserves a game ball for his performance today. His line reads 36 carries for 167 yards. This was old school football and it paid off in overtime as Howard had his longest run of the game with a 53 yarder that put the team in FG range.

  1. QB Mitchell Trubisky

While the line from Trubisky was not flashy at all and he did have one lost fumble he did a rather good job of protecting the ball and avoiding the costly turnovers the team has been plagued with. In overtime when it was clear the Bears had to pass to win he made a spectacular pass in traffic to Kendall Wright which made the winning FG attempt even more makeable.

  1. CB Kyle Fuller

Fuller has played fantastic football this year. He has been great in all phases of the game. For some reason, today the Ravens decided they would target Fuller all-day long. He made them pay for it. In one play his coverage forced a tipped ball that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by S Adrian Amos.

Stock Down

  1. The Wide Receivers

Again, it seems like the same old story the Wide Receivers are failing to create separation on a regular basis. There doesn’t seem to be a cure in sight for these issues. Most likely it will be the same story all season long unless McBride or Gentry break out.

  1. Special Teams

When the Chicago Bears couldn’t make the offense move in the critical fourth quarter they punted the ball away and gave up a touchdown in return. It’s simply unacceptable to not have the situational awareness to know that you can’t give the opposing team those kinds of opportunities with the game on the line.

It was a messy win but in the end a win is all that matters. Chicago Bears go to 2-4 on the season.
