This week, the Chicago Bears will host their fourth game of the season when they welcome the Carolina Panthers to Soldier Field. The Bears (2-4) will be hoping to build on the momentum of last week’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, while the Panthers (4-2) will be looking to get the nasty taste of defeat from last week out of their mouths.

Dating back to Week 13 of 2016, Chicago has lost four of their last five home games. As for the Carolina, they seem to be thriving on the road, having won all of their games on foreign territory so far this year. For the Bears, the formula for winning seems to weigh on the shoulders of running back Jordan Howard. In Chicago’s both wins this season, Howard has rushed for over 100 yards, and carried the ball over 20 times.

As a team entering Week 7, the Bears are ranked third in rushing (136.0 yards per game), and Howard is the league’s fifth-top rusher with 495 yards. Carolina’s run defense is the fifth-best in the NFL, and to see how Howard will do up against one of the league’s best could definitely be one of the major factors that determines the outcome of Sunday’s matchup.
