While Leonard Floyd and Eddie Goldman may seem like a couple of long shots to make the Pro Bowl, Akiem Hicks should be a shoe-in. The way he has played, coupled with the production he has had over the last few games almost guarantee him a spot. Not only has Hicks been very productive, but he can also disrupt an offense’s game plan and he is difficult to block.

If he doesn’t make the Pro Bowl, then there is something wrong with the system.

Floyd may need to step things up and be more productive, but he is a disruptive outside linebacker who not only rushes the passer well but covers well. He has the speed to stay with some of the faster running backs and has proven he can play in coverage. Playing better is still something Floyd needs to work on but he’s getting there.

If Floyd could get some sacks in the next several games, he might gain more attention from Pro Bowl voters both in the league and with fans and may make the squad as an alternate. After seeing how he has been playing this season, he is still a little way away from being great, but he could still make the squad as an alternate.

That’s not out of the question.

Finally, there is one guy on this team who deserves a lot of recognition but isn’t getting any. That player is Eddie Goldman. Goldman has quietly been playing well for the Bears at the nose tackle position. He can stuff the run and get to the passer which is a plus.

If he can stay healthy, which he hasn’t been able to do that well, he should get at least a look as a Pro Bowler at the nose tackle position.

Perhaps he could be an alternate.
