Detroit at Chicago

The Bears will play their first game against the Lions at home the week after playing Green Bay. Right now, the Lions are a hard team to figure out. They started out the season strong but have lost some games and look a little bit like the Lions of old. They can be beaten but will the Bears, do it?

The Lions have a strong defense. That is going to cause problems for the Bears especially with trying to pass the ball. Chicago may need to rely on their running game much more than in this one. The running game can help set up the offense to win, but the defense must do its part to keep Matthew Stafford and company out of the end zone. That’s going to be difficult.

Detroit can be potent and unfortunately, for the Bears, they won’t be able to keep up with the Lions’ offense. The defense will “almost” do its job but they won’t keep Detroit entirely out of the end zone.

The offense’s inability to score points will hurt and this will be a game that the Bears will end up losing because of it.

This one could be close, however. The Bears could do just enough to win. But the Lions will probably win this game and send the Bears further down into the basement of the NFC North.

Score Prediction: Detroit 20 Chicago 19
