After a much-needed break, the Chicago Bears will be returning from their bye week hoping to turn things around for the second half of the NFL season. With an extra week of preparation, the Bears (3-5) will be facing the hated Green Bay Packers, and for the first time in a long time, are favored to win.
Of course, the main reason Chicago isn’t considered an underdog is because Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t playing. Hopefully, the Bears can take advantage of Rodgers’ absence, just like they did in their Week 9 matchup with Green Bay in 2013 when Rodgers was knocked out of the game.
Another key player that may not be on the field come Sunday is Bears inside linebacker Danny Trevathan. The team’s leading tackler suffered a calf injury in Chicago’s Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints, and hasn’t participated in practice all week. Trevathan is listed as questionable. Seeing just how the Bears fill that potential void will be one thing to keep an eye on, and here are five more things to go along with it.
