Chicago Bears Week Ten Fantasy Football: Start/Sit

CHICAGO, IL - DECEMBER 18: Jordan Howard
CHICAGO, IL - DECEMBER 18: Jordan Howard

Week ten of the NFL season the Chicago Bears will be hosting the Green Bay Packers. We’ll take a look at the Chicago Bears to start or sit this week for fantasy football.

Chicago Bears D/ST is a top ten play this week against the Packers. Coming off of a bye-week the Bears should be able to handle the ailing Packers offense. The defensive gameplan will be to stop the run and force the pass. Brett Hundley doesn’t seem to be comfortable running the Packers offense just yet.  The Bears pass rush will get to Hundley, and force him into a handful of bad decisions. Chicago Bears D/ST will have a handful of sacks as well as at least one forced turnover.

Jordan Howard coming off a bye week will be a problem for the Green Bay Packers to stop. Expect Howard to see at least 20 rushing attempt this Sunday afternoon. The Chicago Bears offense should look it’s best all season this week. Howard’s success comes when he scores a touchdown. He is a start this week based on his expected volume, and matchup.

Tarik Cohen hasn’t come close to the level of production he showed in the first two weeks of the season. The offense needs to involve Tarik Cohen to open up the field for Mitchell Trubisky.  Tarik Cohen will see most of his touches as a receiver albeit from the backfield or as a receiver. This is the week the passing game has progress, and the Chicago Bears score points on offense.

Adam Shaheen is an intriguing player this week. The injury to Zach Miller and illness to Dion Sims propels Shaheen to the starting tight end for the Chicago Bears. Shaheen only has one catch for two yards this season. Shaheen should not be in the starting lineup for most fantasy teams until his role in the offense is shown.

Mitchell Trubisky is primed to have his best game of the season this week. The bye-week and the match-up give Trubisky and the Chicago Bears a clear advantage in preparation. The addition of wide receiver Dontrelle Inman gives Trubisky much-needed help at that position. Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears see this game as a must win. The offense will come out to score and not solely manage the game.
