Chicago Bears Week Eleven Fantasy Football: Start/Sit
By Josh Diaz
Week eleven of the NFL season the Chicago Bears will be hosting the Detroit Lions. Let’s take a look at the Chicago Bears to start or sit this week for fantasy football.
Chicago Bears D/ST- The Chicago Bears defense has a tough matchup against gun-slinging Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions. Expect this week to mirror the Lions offensive output from last week. They struggled for three quarters and finally found their groove scoring 21 unanswered points. The Chicago Bears pass rush should be able to rough up Stafford, but the secondary needs to hold its own. Ultimately sit the Bears defense this week and find a better matchup to play.
Jordan Howard- Jordan Howard didn’t have a good game last week against the Packers. Nor did the Chicago Bears offense as a whole. On the positive side, Howard’s volume remains consistent and should see another 20 touch game. The Bears offense needs someone to carry them, it should be Jordan Howard and the run game. Start Jordan Howard, the weather conditions call for a hard-nosed running attack game.
Tarik Cohen- Tarik Cohen has seen fewer targets and rushes each week since exploding on the scene in weeks one and two. There is no explanation for why the Bears offense isn’t utilizing Cohen to his potential. He is clearly the change of pace back, with reliable hands and should be used as such. Cohen is a sit this week until the Bears figure out a way to get him back into the offensive gameplan.
Adam Shaheen- Adam Shaheen starts for the second week in a row due to an illness to Dion Sims. Shaheen caught two passes for 39 yards With the offense struggling the last few games the tight end position hasn’t produced anything fantasy worthy. Shaheen deserves a roster spot but should be on the bench.
Dontrelle Inman- Dontrelle Inman impressed in his first game as a Chicago Bears, catching 6 passes for 88 yards. On the eye test alone it is clear Inman is the best receiver on the Chicago Bears. Inman has a tough matchup as he will most likely be covered by Darius Slay. However, Inman is a start in deep leagues.
