Chicago Bears: 5 Things to Watch for in Week 12

Will Carson Wentz Dissect Bears’ Secondary?
The Bears’ pass defense is ranked a respectable 12th in the league. But, this is a decline from where they were earlier this season. This week, Chicago’s defensive backs will have to worry about Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who is a candidate for league MVP. Only in his second year, Wentz has led Philadelphia to the NFL’s best record this season, and is leading the league with 25 touchdown passes, with a QB rating of 103.4. Even after going up against the likes of Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, and Drew Brees already, this may be the Bears’ biggest challenge of the year. In addition, the secondary will have to worry about former teammate Alshon Jeffery, who has become Wentz’s favorite target in their offense. If Chicago’s cornerbacks don’t contain Jeffery, we may see a lot of Wentz-Jeffery connections on Sunday.
