Chicago Bears Week Twelve Fantasy Football: Start/Sit
By Josh Diaz
Week twelve of the NFL season is here, the Chicago Bears will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles. Let’s take a look at the Chicago Bears to start and sit this week for fantasy football.
Mithcell Trubisky – Mitchell Trubisky has had 97 pass attempts in the last three games. This is what all Chicago Bears fans wanted to see, the rookie quarterback given the keys to the offense. Unfortunately, it hasn’t led to a spark in the Bears struggling offense. During this three-game stretch, Trubsiky has thrown for 640 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Chicago Bears can’t seem to score touchdowns on offense consistently and face their toughest matchup of the year against the Eagles. Sit Trubisky this week and expect him to struggle mightily against the best team in the NFC.
Tarik Cohen – Tarik Cohen scored a touchdown on 13 touches last week, breaking his drought of single-digit fantasy outputs. The Chicago Bears offense is going to need chunk plays this week to score points. Cohen doesn’t have a favorable matchup by any means, but should still be considered a start in the flex.
Next: Jernigan and Cox present matchup problems
Jordan Howard -Jordan Howard impressed with his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season and a touchdown last week. Howard’s volume remains the same, and the tough matchup shouldn’t scare owners away from starting him. Howard’s production has been consistent but needs a touchdown this week to have a solid fantasy day.
Dontrelle Inman – Dontrelle Inman’s performance against the Lions was mediocre, catching three passes for 43 yards. The positive to last week is Inman lead the team in targets, catches, and yards. The offense starts and goes through the running game, even with the increased workload for Trubisky. Dontrelle Inman is a flex option at best but should stay on the bench this week.
Honorable mention– Cairo Santos is worth picking up if you are in need of a kicker. Expect the Chicago Bears to have faith in their new kicker, and let him get comfortable with easy field goal attempts.
