The Chicago Bears have had another difficult season and appear to be heading toward making some significant changes. Their coaching staff may be out soon, and the Bears may start over, again and change things around once the new coaching staff is in place. But let’s not worry about that right now. We need to be concerned about what’s immediately in front of them.

The Bears will enter the month of December with some easier games on their schedule. The will play five games in December with two at home and three on the road. Just how well will they do in December? Can they have a strong finish and get some momentum heading into the 2018 season?

The Bears need to win some games not only to gain some confidence but to possibly save the job of the coaching staff. Although it may be already be set that the Bears will jettison their coaching staff at the end of this season a strong finish could change things. At least it would be good for the players. The team, even with a new coaching staff, could have something positive to get them through the offseason and get them moving in the right direction.

For the players, the coaching staff and the fans closing out the season on a strong note is important. They must do something to win, and they have a chance to win some games in December. Two of the games come against a couple of the NFL’s weakest team in San Francisco and Cleveland. The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t playing that well either so that’s a winnable game.

There are two games against division rivals in December, and that will make things interesting. Can the Bears derail the playoff hopes of the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions? Will they get a win within the division with two games left or will they go winless in the NFC North? Going winless would certainly put additional nails in the coffin for John Fox and his staff.

The following is a look at the last five games of the Bears’ 2017 schedule in December. There is a look at the team they face and how that team has fared so far this season. We will look and see if the Bears will win or not and what the final score could be.
