Chicago Bears December Schedule Preview: Predicting the Final Games
New Year’s Eve will see Chicago travel north to chilly Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings in their last game of the season. The Vikings may be playing for playoff positioning while the Bears will be playing for pride. But Chicago will be looking to spoil any effort the Vikings try to either make the playoffs or gain a better position. They will also want to end the year on a high note and set themselves up for a more positive offseason.
Chicago played the Vikings back in Week Five and lost a close one 20-17. In that game, the Vikings started Sam Bradford and the Bears were dominant. Once Case Keenum came in the Bears started to lose their edge and eventually lost the game. The Bears should face Keenum once again barring any change at quarterback by the coaching staff.
The Bears are not going to be able to beat the Vikings in this game. Like most of their games this year, I think the Bears will play it close but will lose. The Vikings are very good on offense and if they get good play out of the quarterback position, they will remain so when they meet the Bears. Chicago will close out the season on a low note with possible big changes ahead.
Could this end up being John Fox’s last game as the Bears’ head coach or will they give him another year to try to turn things around? We will find out soon after this game is finished.
Score Prediction: Minnesota 26 Chicago 13
