Chicago Bears favored to win for the second time all season
When the Chicago Bears meet the San Francisco 49ers, the Chicago Bears will be in rare position.
The Chicago Bears home meeting with the San Francisco 49ers is not going to be the nationally televised game of the week. I know, surprising. However, it is a game that sounds like the Chicago Bears should win. So much so, that the general public and oddsmakers can agree that the Bears deserve to be favorites in this game. They currently sit as favorites of three points.
This, not a place the Bears are used to being in. In fact, the team is favored for the second time this season and just the sixth time in the John Fox era. What is even worse than the fact that he was only favored in that many games is the fact that he has not won a game outright in Chicago as a favorite. That is right, even when the Bears are expected to win, they lose every time.
Another crazy thought from this that when the Bears and the 49ers meet, this will also be the first time all season that the Bears have a better record than their opponent. The one time in which they were favored this season, it was against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers were starting Brett Hundley but had wins banked in from Aaron Rodgers, who had more wins in the first five weeks of the season than the Bears do at week 13.
