The Chicago Bears got huge news when finding out Danny Trevathan returned to practice on Wednesday
We all know the term “you do not know what you had until it is gone”, right? That term could not hold any more true than it does with Danny Trevathan. Trevathan, a player most toted as the running mate beside Jerrell Freeman coming into the year apparently is the keystone to the defense.
He has missed the past three games and the Bears defense has fallen apart. They sit at 0-3 without him, and it is clear a lot of issues can be fixed with him. Play calling, and getting your defense aligned are two things he does leaps and bounds better than Christian Jones. It has showed over these three games, as Jones play has diminished without Trevathan.
Have no fear Christian Jones, your savior Danny is back. Well, sort of. Hopefully.

Danny Trevathan returned to practice today. However, it is worth noting that he returned on a limited basis, and not a full session. Baby steps are steps, and at this point in the week, the limited status is likely for him to dip his toes, wake up tomorrow morning and really see how he feels. If he feels great after a day of more intense work, then it becomes time to increase the intensity. He may even remain limited on Thursday, but if the timetable plays out, the day to watch is Friday. If he can be a full participant by Friday he will absolutely be back. If not, it is a game time decision.
