Will Thin Defensive Line Be Productive?

Along with Long, Bears defensive end Mitch Unrein has also been placed on IR. In addition to this, starting nose tackle Eddie Goldman is listed as doubtful on Chicago’s injury list with a hip injury. This leaves Akiem Hicks, Jonathan Bullard, Roy Robertson-Harris, and John Jenkins as the rotating linemen for the Bears’ defensive front. Even though the Bengals are a lowly 30th in the league in rushing, a rotation of only four players may take its toll, and the battle at the line of scrimmage could heavily favor Cincinnati late in the game.
