Jordan Howard can continue December run at Lions
Jordan Howard should be set up for success again on Saturday
Jordan Howard is ready for meaningful December football. His team may not be there yet, but he is there. Howard showed that on Sunday when he took on the Cincinnati Bengals. You can talk about the Bengals not being healthy, but Howard ran with passion and power. It was a preview of what he can bring to a team that is contending this late into the season.
While the Bears may not be contending, they are taking on a division rival who is contending for a playoff spot right now. A win would be sweet. The Bears could find a way to knock them out, and they could do it with Howard.
When the Lions and the Bears met earlier this season, the Lions defense had a good reputation. They were in the top ten statistically. However, that was mainly led by their pass defense. Their run defense had been an issue, and Howard exposed it with 125 yards on the ground.
Since the Bears played them, their defense has essentially fallen apart. They gave up 24 to the Bears, 21 to the Buccaneers, 44 to the Ravens and 30 the Vikings since then. It has not been pretty.
In fact, based on efficiency, they fell from a top ten unit to 20th. That was aided by their 28th ranked rush defense at the moment.

Howard is hot after a big game on Sunday. He already has torched this team, and since he last faced them they have only got worse at defending the run. All indications are for Jordan Howard to have a big day on Saturday.
