Chicago Bears move Chris Prosinski to IR
The Chicago Bears moved safety Chris Prosinski to the injured reserve
In a move that is surprising to almost no one, the Chicago Bears released safety Chris Prosinski and called up offensive lineman Brandon Greene.
The move is pretty basic. The Bears are getting Adrian Amos back. Amos has been healthy and practicing all week. On Friday, he was not even listed on the injury report. Deon Bush is healthy as well, and the team finally has four safeties worth being active, without including Prosinski.
The team only signed Prosinski to step in for Amos. Prosinski left the game last week early, causing Bush to finish for him. There is clearly no reason to keep him around, and the injury is serious enough to continue to hold him out. Cutting him is an obvious decision.
Who to move up from the practice squad is an obvious decision as well. Green, is an offensive lineman on a team with offensive line questions. Kyle Long is on IR. Josh Sitton is hurt and has not practiced all week. He is doubtful for Sunday. On top of that, Tom Compton, who would replace Sitton if he cannot go is questionable for Sunday. Compton has been inactive for the past two weeks with his injury issue.

The fact of the matter is that even if Compton is capable of playing this team is lacking depth on the line. They are deep and strong at safety. This is what makes is obvious and an easy decision to send a safety off and add an offensive lineman.
