Everyone wants to make it out like this is some kind of big time job. Like the New York Giants are a prestigious organization. Sure, owner John Mara is a staple and a face of the league, and that does bring respect. However, the roster management and decision that have to be made with this team would have to take on a great optimist. The true idea behind taking this Giants job is knowing there is a good chance the next coach is going to be the one to benefit off of your good work.

They do not have a long term answer at quarterback, and Manning has maybe two years left. They a weak offensive line and running game, they have heavy contracts to make decisions on on the defensive side of the ball and they have to decide how much and what to do with Odell Beckham and the players around him. Given the expectations behind Beckham and Manning and the reality of the situation, it is tough to get excited about.
