Fit for Chicago Bears?

The reality is that some team is going to jump on him, likely before the the third round ends because of his punt return ability. That is not going to increase the Chicago Bears chances of snagging him. The Bears have punt return and kick return options. That added bonus does little to them. As a receiver, he fits what they are looking for. He can get open and do things with the ball in his hands. It is a fit for a Matt Nagy offense. Still, the team could find someone with his ceiling in a lower round without the punt return dynamic in mind.

In the third round, you start to wonder if the value makes him worth it. However, the best bet for Pettis to end up on the Chicago Bears would be a fourth round stab. It is tough to guess, but most prognosticators would assume Pettis is gone by then. While a decent fit, the logistics may not work for Pettis to slide to the Bears.
