Bears Banter: The BGO Podcast: Episode 19- Alshon Jeffery Joins!

Former Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery joins the podcast less than a week away from his first ever Super Bowl appearance.

It’s the latest edition of the BGO Podcast coming at you from Minneapolis at Super Bowl 52! Bill Zimmerman chats with Alshon Jeffery during opening night. Jeffery discusses his time in Chicago, his first year in Philadelphia and makes an interesting comment about that famous Super Bowl prediction he made his last year in Chicago.

When you listen to this, it’ll be quite clear to you that a few things are true. First of all, Alshon Jeffery wants to focus on his time with the Eagles, questions that pertain to this season he gives a far more thoughtful answer than he does with anything related to Chicago. Second of all, he doesn’t want to talk about the Bears at all. He has a couple of canned lines and other than that he bites his tongue about everything. This leads you to believe that Jeffery has some strong opinions about the team, whether that be the coaching staff he had or the front office, but he knows better than to say them publicly and create a headache for himself.

Jeffery has moved on and so have the Bears, but clearly there is some resentment bubbling in Jeffery and it may not be this year, it may not be next year, but at some point, he’s going to unleash an opinion that’s going to get people in Chicago talking.
