The former number two overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft will be living with the number one overall pick from the 2016 NFL Draft

Mitchell Trubisky will be trying to make the leap from year one to year two in the same way that Jared Goff did. He is almost taking that in a literal sense as Jared Goff revealed that the two will be living together and working with each other all offseason.

This is not really too surprising. Quarterbacking becomes a fraternity. Obviously with both of their names being high profile comes a lot of scrutiny from the media and outside voices. Quarterbacks always stick together to drown that out and try to improve their game to make the league better.

Goff and Trubisky have likely met at various events growing up and have been friends for a long time.

In one season, Jared Goff went from a 54% passer to 62. He went from a 5:7 TD to INT ratio to 28:7 in year two. His yards per game went up by 98 yards and yard per attempt by 2.7.

Looking at the situations, Trubisky could be in a similar one to Goff. Going from an old school outdated coaching staff, to a forward thinking, college oriented coaching staff. The reliance on the running game is there as well. The three starting wide receivers that the Rams put out in 2017 were not the same as 2016. That could happen in Chicago as well.

If Trubisky got the Jared Goff bump in stats, he would become a 67% passer, with 18 touchdowns and  four interceptions. He would average 280 yards per game and 8.3 yards per attempt. Bears fans would take that. We will see what Trubisky and Goff do in their 2018 seasons after spending a few months together this offseason.
