A fit for Chicago Bears?

Based on the some recent mock drafts, Davenport is going to be drafted in the first round. With the expectations of what he is going to do at his combine, that idea will only intensify over the next couple of months. Seeing the ability and the upside in what Marcus Davenport brings to the table is going to be hard to pass up.

He plays a position of immense value, and too many General Managers know that they could be passing on the next game changer at that position. However, it brings an interesting dynamic, who high is too high?

There are mocks that he is going to be gone by pick eight. Would the Chicago Bears invest in Davenport with the eighth overall pick? Does Ryan Pace have the job security to swing for the fences with the risk of losing out on an important first round draft pick?

At the moment, it seems like pick eight is going to be a bit too rich for a player as raw as Davenport. How he does in his combine could definitely change things, though.
